Thursday Nov 19, 2020

The discussion continues with Jacob elucidating that he is presently focusing on syndication technology software engineering more than the real estate business. Zain asks Jacob if software engineering is more lucrative than real estate, and he answers affirmatively.
He further emphasizes how leveraging software instigated exponential growth in his company.
Talking more about the relationship between real estate and technology, Zain implores Jacob to explain how technology can improve real estate physically. In turn, Jacob talks about renewable energy and self-sustaining homes. He also explicates the importance of sleep.
Delving fully into bedroom décor, Jacob explains the mechanism of Sleep Canvas: A device that improves the quality of sleep by regulating temperature, drowning out noise, and generally filtering the area. He says that the inspiration to create Sleep Canvas emanated from his own personal experience.
The conversation ends with Zain talking to Jacob about the growth of his marketing firm. He concludes that the founder’s competence matters in the growth of a start-up.

Crowdfunding & Technology Adoption in Real-Estate | Jacob Blackett & Zain Jaffer
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Zain and Jacob continue by discussing the relationship between real estate and technology. They agree that online real estate deals are mostly struck by young people. However, Jacob notes that the older, middle-aged generation is gradually adapting to technology as well.
The conversation takes a turn to the importance of real estate start-ups having a target clientele. Both Zain and Jacob agree that it is important for a new real estate franchise to have a specific objective.
When Zain asks Jacob how much individuals should invest in real estate in comparison to the mainstream financial market (stocks, bonds, etc.), he says “a third or a quarter” of their funds. He also emphasizes that the percentage should be higher as real estate always appreciates.
The conversation ends with Jacob talking about how instrumental software engineering has been to his company. He further explains how he has enabled his colleagues to employ technology in the growth of their businesses too.

Reinventing Real Estate Marketing | Jacob Blackett & Zain Jaffer
Friday Nov 13, 2020
Friday Nov 13, 2020
In this video, Jacob Blackett talks about how the gradual growth of his company was instigated by syndication.
After a few years in the real estate business, Jacob realized that his profit margin was insufficient. Therefore, he could not afford to pay his taxes without selling off some of his properties. Additionally, his discovery showed that his company’s growth would be deterred if he continued trading off his properties in order to meet up with tax remittance.
Therefore, he took to syndication. Although his first investors were close friends and family members, Jacob’s company soon grew to accommodate more investors. The feat was achieved through the creation of a crowdfunding website specifically for his company’s business deals.
Finally, he explains the use of simple and user-friendly methods to engage investors in his company’s syndication process. “If you can’t describe in one simple sentence how your investor gets his profit, then, it’s too complicated,” he says.

Now, you might be thinking why is it relevant to you, well have you ever got attracted by those lucrative looking schemes to which you never had been paid attention to and then you do it but of course doesn’t get success, I bet we all fall at least once into the traps of commercial ads and that’s how a freshman in college, Jacob started with no knowledge more than a bunch of seminars, the kind we all have been attended once and how even after facing a loss in the very beginning, working like a machine for 12 hours, he managed to cover the loss with the profit.
We all hate being controlled by someone and even in those situations how he managed to pull that stunt out and how to take a risk in vulnerable situations. All this feels like I am talking about you right, well this kind of thing we all face but how to resist the situation without quitting and also how to make a fortune out of the misery, you will know everything and this will teach you to be smart and tough even if you stand on the edge of the cliff
So, let’s jump right into it!!!
